![]() I had the CMS (Joomla) and the forums (SMF) integrated using a bridge which made it extremely difficult to upgrade either one. A new bridge is required when you upgrade and I found many times, there were still "issues" with it. So I remove it and now both are "stand alone" and have been upgraded to the latest version. At this point you can only log into the forums from the forum page (I remove the bridged login on the main page) I may look for another login module for SMF later on to have on the main page but right now I don't think it is critical to have. Since the forums now have a different URL, Google (which is where a good majority of our traffic comes from) needs to recrawl all the pages. This may take a few weeks and you may notice a drop in traffic. In fact you may have noticed a drop in traffic since January, which is because I was trying to get Google to index the site properly so we would not get penilized for duplicate content. Anyways, the latest version of SMF has a fix for that and we should start seeing an increase in traffic within the next few weeks... Anyways, I hope the changes are for the best....
