Forum Rules

Welcome to our forums!

Technical support can be obtained by posting your problem or question in the appropriate forum board.
We have expert moderators in all fields ready to help out. Please be patient when posting your problem and do not post into other forums, you will not get a quicker response by double posting. The moderators of these forums will eventually get to your thread. They spend a lot of time on each thread to make sure problems are resolved and/or questions are answered. Please know that most of the people helping here do so on a voluntary basis. They also don't all live in the same time zone. Most have normal daytime jobs and help out during the evening. Please respect them and be patient, you will get an answer in due time.

We are all here to help!

To assist our moderators, please familiarize yourself with our forums rules.

  • Do a search before posting
Use the search to see if your issue has already been posted and resolved. This will help reduce the duplication of work on our part and will allow us to contribute more time to new problems.
  • Choose your Forum properly
Make sure you select the Forum which deals with your issue. If you are not sure where to start a thread, read the Forum description (on the Forum's main page) carefully and select the one you think is the best 'fit'. If the moderator feels the thread belong to another Forum, he/she will move your thread to where it belongs but getting it right the first time will allow the moderator more time to respond to questions instead of spending it 'cleaning house'.
  • Be descriptive in the topic and message
The subject (Topic) should reflect the problem posted with as much details as possible. Also be as descriptive as possible in the message. This will help us help you better.
  • Post your question / problem only once
Do Not post the same problem in different Forums, once is enough. You will not get a quicker response by submitting a problem in different forums. Post your problem in the forum you think best fits your problem.
  • Keep unrelated issues separated
If you have multiple 'issues' that are unrelated, post each one in the appropriate forum. If they are related, put them all in the same thread.
Related - memory error message using an application and system unstable. - Start one thread (Topic)
Unrelated - modem not working and sound not working. - Start two threads (Topics)
  • Keep your thread updated
Please let us know if the status of the problem changes, if new information become available or if the problem as been solved and what the solution was. This will benefit everyone. If we are waiting for a reply from you and you do not within a few months, the thread will be closed.
  • Stay on topic
Do not add to an existing thread a new problem unless it is the same one. If your problem is similar but different enough then start a new thread. If you're posting a HijackThis log, start a new thread.
  • Post all questions / problems in the forums
Do Not email me (admin) directly with a problem. I would prefer answering all questions in the forums. This is so others with similar problems may be able to find answers. You can register and post your problem/question in the Forums where we will be more than happy to help you.
  • Help others
If you come across a thread that you may know the solution to, then please take a few minutes to help out.
  • Be courteous
Please remember that everyone is entitled to an opinion. Personal attacks, slurs ("flaming") and any use of profanity will not be tolerated. These messages will be deleted immediately and the participant may be restricted from future participation.
  • Keep it legal
Do not post copyrighted material without the express written permission of the author. Do not use the forums to encourage conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation. Do not post links to offensive, warez, software cracks or porn sites. Links to these types of sites will be removed.
  • No advertising allowed
Any posts containing advertisements will be deleted. If the member posting advertisements persists in posting them, his/her account will be deleted.
