LOL

RTFM!!!!

well i couldnt find the FSB setting but i found this cool n quiet thing in BIOS. i disabled that and its back up to 2800+ so i presume that the cool and quiet thing only uses 2800+ if it has to - like if im on FM - thing is i didnt pay for 1.6 i paid for 2.8 lol.
thanks for your help.

8  Hardware Support / Hardware Devices Problems / seriously weird!!! on: March 31, 2006, 10:36:29 PM
hi this is actually getting strange now. i have seen this before but cant remember where.

i got told the speed on processors was a bit lewss than the actuall speed for AMD. just like my laptop is 1800+ but runs at 1.53 i think it is

now i have a desktop that i have upgraded and on the POST screen it says AMD Sempron 2800+ but directly underneth it says 1600+ just like when i right click my computer it says it. is this a bug in windows or have i done something wrong. i thought it should say 2.53 something like that i expected it to be less but not that much. it dosnt feel slow though - then again when iv been stuck with p2 while i was building this 1.6ghz is amazing let alone 2.8ghz lmao Smiley

thanks for your help.
