Can someone help me please i have a advent 5471 laptop but the other day i knocked over a can of larger all over the key pad while i was on the net with it. It just shut down and now after i dried it out with a hair dryer it has locked itself into sleep mode when i power it up the lcd light lights up green beside the half moon shape icon can this be fixed or has that can of lager just cost me me laptop help in this matter would be greatfull.

Drying it out with a hairdryer from the exterior is a faint hope, I'm afraid.
In most cases you would have to open it up and clean it properly and hope there is no electronic damage.  Your best plan is to take it to a repairer.
