Hey guys and gals i've got this shut down problem, my computer wont do it, and i think because i use the kill switch, it wants to restart or something. As it is i have to start with the F1 key, because of it not recognizing the floppy. My hijack this log is included, something weird is happening to my old beige friend.I hope you can help. THANKS

I see nothing malicious in your HJT log.

You can try Windows 98 Second Edition Shutdown Supplement

Problems Shutting Down Windows 98 Second Edition

Also try and Run the System File Checker

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow   ( sfc if not reconized)

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. You will need your Windows cd.
