PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:WIN XP
Problem Application Name & Version: Microsoft
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I attempted to clean out files/programs that were slowing down my system.  This occured at bootup and while operating.  I used spybot & systems tools(defrag, etc.) Now I have no start menu,no desktop icons & no taskbar.  The only way that I can access my computer is via CTRL+alt=delete, which opens the task mgr.  No applications are open and I have to open each one manually.  Please help!

Hi,

Bring up Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete then click "File"-->"New Task (Run)"-->type "msconfig" (without the quotes). Now in the "System Configuration Utility" window click on the "General" tab and select "Normal Startup - load all device driver and services"-->Apply-->Close-->Restart.

If that does not help have a read throuhg Geekgirl's response in the link below:
