PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model: IBM Thinkpad R51
Error Messages: None

I've been working on cleaning my laptop and have ran into a problem.

C:\Program Files\cmtt\tasr.exe

I have seen a few tasr.exe on a couple HijackThis logs but never in a cmtt folder.  I have tried everything from running all my spybot, adaware and virus scans in safe mode.  Disabling system restore, everything you said to do before posting my HijackThis log.  I have even tried manually deleting it and stopping the program from starting up with my computer.  It lets me delete it manually, but upon restart, I'm right back to where I started and the program is still there.  I'm not sure of what else I can do to get rid of this program.  Here is my  most recent HijackThis log file right after getting done with doing everything you said to do before posting it.

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

Give this a shot:
Boot into Safe Mode, go to Add/Remove programs and see if it is listed in there and remove if it is.
Go to C:\Program Files and delete the folder.
Also Click Start | Run and type in msconfig
Click the Startup tab and remove the check beside the entry. Reboot

I've tried all those things and the program still remains upon reboot.

Have you tried MoveOnBoot
MoveOnBoot allows you to copy, move or delete files on the next system boot. This can come handy if you need to replace or delete files that are locked by other applications, loaded into memory or cannot be changed until next system boot.

Or you may want to try Killbox (v2.0.0.76) . Paste the full file path in the box and click on "Delete on Reboot". Next click on the button with the red circle and an X in the middle. You will get a message saying "File with be deleted on next reboot, Process and Reboot now?" Click "No"
