PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:win 98 se
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:cyberdrive CW068D CD-R/RW

Error Messages:

Hi again
Just fitted a new dvd player and cd writer to replace my old writer. Fitted cables as per instructions...i.e. IDE1--hard drive(master)--dvd player (slave)....IDE2--cd writer(master)
roxio easy cd creator 5 couldnt find supported cd writer and solved this by downloading upgrade from roxio website
however the upgraded version will not copy some software and terminates with failure to read disk after about 3 mins
easy cd creator 5 would previously copy anything for me with old writer
also installed nero 5.5.6.9 which came with writer but this fails to read any of data disks....the same applies with clone cd aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh
NOTE : i have also tried reconnecting old writer and it does exactly the same
Is it looking like I'll have to stay with my old writer and older version of easy cd creator in order to copy disks?Huh?
another NOTE : everybody apart from me can work nero no problem

Nero is too old!

Go to http://www.filemirrors.com and search for Nero 5.5.10.7 then download

update your version for free.

Do not put CDR or DVD on the same cable as HD use second IDE port.

No, I said DVD(slave) + HD(master) = IDE1

CDRW (master) = IDE2

CDs are interchangable here as some do not like being in certain orders of attachment

&

What about the update though.

Old nero won't recognise very new drives!
