HI

I have a webcam on my computer that has been working OK.
I bought a USB extension lead so that I could put the webcam in another room but it won't work with the webcam
The webcam works when it is plugged in without the extension lead and I used the extension lead to transfer pics from my digital cameral and that worked ok. It just wont work with the webcam

Any ideas??
I wanted to get it working for christmas to connect online with the family

THanks

maybe the webcam transfers at a faster rate than the new lead can handle. I bought a hub and my internet wouldnt go through it cos its transfer rate wasnt fast enough.

The maximum length a normal USB 1.1 and 2.0 cable can have is 5 metres (15 feet). Any longer and you need a booster inbetween.
