i have a maxtor 200gb hd, while updating my bios on the motherboard, it decided to not flash, in turn this took my hd down - it will not be recognised by any pc, always comes up saying it needs formating, but i have a lot of stuff on it that i would like to recover. anyone got any good ideas as to how i can recover this data if at all?

thanks

Have you looked on the Maxtor site for their recovery tools?

Also, after you flashed your motherboard BIOS, did you load the BIOS defaults, save them, reboot, then back into the BIOS again to set your definite settings?
