i have recently bought a new computer which had a trail version of windows office installed which worked fine. As i have a genuine version (2002), i uninstalled this and installed my version, so i could update ect.  Now i can not open it to use e-mail. If i click on microsoft outlook all i get is a message saying " can not open you e-mail default folders".    Embarrassed
It then asks if i want default system folders instead, to which i decline and the programs closes again.
my outlook express is working fine.
many thanks for any help and suggestions.

I recent solve this exact problem by first emptying (deleting or moving) the Outlook files and then uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Office.
You should always mention what version of Windows you are using when posting. I
