My DVD burner stopped functioning.  The CD burner aspect still works however.  Any help would be appreciated.

The topic has been unlocked.

Why don't you post the make and model of the drive and what you were doing prior to the DVD burning to fail.

SiSoft Sandra doesn't recognize my drives.  The device manager is confusing to me.  Where do I find the information that is pertinent?

In the Device manager, look under DVD/CD-ROM drives and click the [ + ] sign next to it. That should show you the drive in question.

Right click the drive and select Properties.
Top of the panel, that should pop up, tells you the make and model of the optical drive you've got. The image below should show exactly where you want to look.
