Operating System Version: Windows XP Home Edition SP2
Problem Application Name & Version: NHL 2006
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Ea Sports
Error Messages: (None) Laggy and choppy graphics

I got this game for christmas and also got a new computer but this game will not work properly, it's extremely laggy and choppy and gets worse when I increase the display levels. This doesnt make any sense because my computer is way better then the recommended requirements for the game. I have an AMD atholon dual core 3800+ with a gig of ram, a 250 gb hard drive and an Nvidia geforce 6200 with turbocache(256 mb) video card. Any help is appreciated, what is strange is my PC runs Battlefield 2 flawlessly with a hitch, a game with much higher requirements yet it won't play this game correctly? Huh? Any help is appreciated!

Typical problem with the EA Games products you've run into there. Have you gone to their website to check for patches for the game?

What I can recommend is try to use resolutions that make the choppyness less and also less detail, shades etc.
What NVidia drivers are you using at the moment?
