Hi

I have a Gateway laptop, about two days ago my right speaker started to have problems. I connected external speakers and headphones, and they do work. The speaker sounds as if I was passing an AM transmission below a bridge (noise). Can you help me with this?

Thanks in advance

Were you playing any sound at the time or did you just turn the laptop on and the speaker wasn't working right?? How old is the laptop?

The laptop is barely six months old, I don't recall to be playing at the time, I think I noticed this when I turned it off after working, the windows farewell sound just wasn't right, since there I had the problem.

Thanks

Well, now the left one is having the same problem and the right one does not work, I called technical support, and they suggested it was a driver problem. I still think is a hardware one, any ideas?
