Hi... wasn't sure where to put this as I'm not sure if it's Graphics prob or game ??..

Anyhoo... I installed " The Moment of Silence" and when I try to start the game I get an error message saying:

error in module graphics (init) .. Direct 3D init failed no appropriate depth/stencil buffer format found.

I have no idea what this means !!.. I've not had any probs with games till now.   I have Direct X 9  & I have tested DX diag and all is running well...it does say that Direct 3d has software buffer but not hardware?.. is that the prob?

I'm wondering if it's my graphics card?.. its pretty old.

I run XP Home.. my graphics is " Intel R 82810 graphics Controler. 32.mb ver-6.13.0001.3198 DDI V 8

Any help as to what this error actually means

Thanks Everso

This points to your graphics card I'm afraid. If you want to play any of the recent games and be happy about the games, you'll need to invest in a later model than you currently have. That should solve your problem in one go.
