I have only a very rudimentary understanding of php, enough that I've been able to make some really simple customizations to a journal script I was freely given, but not enough that I've been able to figure out this problem. I have tried contacting the person who gave me the code, but no reply has been forthcoming, so I hope someone here will be willing to help me!

The nature of the problem surrounds the way the script works to make certain pages login access only or public. These pages are not part of the journal database; I create them manually and upload them to my website. The script recognizes them as "special" pages after I tell it the files are there. The script requires these pages to be in the root directory of the journal. I want to tweak the code so that it still functions in the same way but will also allow me to designate "special" pages in subdirectories. This will help me avoid complicated naming schemes as the number of "special" pages grows.

If I post the code in question, will someone be able to help me with this?
