I have gotton a virus when dlding something from Limewire. I ran my bellsouth antivirus among other scans and deleted the virus and some spyware. I am not able to bring up the task manager by pressing control alt delte. It gives me an error saying it has been disabled my the admin. which i am the admin. I am the only user on my computer except for the guest. The run button is gone off of the start menu and so is the shut down button. I had all kinds of files in my shared folder that I deleted manually. They had all kinds of ficticious names that had to do with different kinds of hacks and cheats to different kinds of programs or games. (thats what I was downloading from limewire, a game cheat,was a game cheat or at least what i thought.) I went to windows update and it told me that I could not access the page because of the active x thing. I finally got the update by going directly from the windows update from my desktop. It came up with all kinds of updates and my computer was all up to date before this happened. I downloaded the updates and this is all still happening. I also downloaded a program that shows me what is in the system manager it is called procexp. So i can get into that now by running that. Oh and also when this happened my clock went to military time. That is basically one of the first things that I noticed when this happened.But anyhow here is the hijack this log. I was getting ready to reformat my computer until I found this site. But I am dreading hundreds pics to disk. It is gonna take me forever.

Hi

Run HJT and remove this entry.....

O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1

Go here and download and run the reg fix

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Taskmanager_error.htm

Copy and paste all this from within the box into Notebook then go to FILE and  SAVE AS.  "All Files" must be selected in the "Save as Type" box. In that box type Fix.reg and save it to your Desktop.Double click to merge it to the registry

Code:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoClose"=dword:0000000

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoLogOff"=dword:0000000

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoRun"=dword:00000000
