I have built quite a few PCs but with one common problem. When I connect the front audio jumpers to the motherboard (tried on several makes ie MSI, ECS, Gigabyte) the rear audio no longer works. I have follwed the instructions in the manuals but it doesn't explain whether or not this happens by default. Sometimes I have had ATX cases which have a block connector which allows both front and rear to be connected, this seems strange considering that the connections I do are the same but without the block connector just seperate jumpers. Have your tried switching the connector(s) around? You will notice on the connector, there is a small arrow, this is the + (positive) connector, make sure you are connecting to the positive connector on the mobo
