Hi, I have written a program with Borland C++Builder 5 which uses an MS-Access database. My user does not have MS Office installed on his computer. Is it possible for my program to use an Access database on a machine without Access installed? If so, how do I do it (ship ODBC drivers ?) ? Thankyou.

You're correct, MS Access doesn't need to be installed for an application to use an Access database. Since Windows has Access ODBC drivers, simply create an ODBC source for your application and set your app to use it.

From what I can see, you can also write your app to use a MS Access Connection without ODBC
