Hi,

just got a new computer and i really love it only problem is... i didnt install a floppy drive and when i open up my computer there is still a floppy icon there and when i restart a window pops up saying somethign about the floppy drive but i dont have one

any ideas on how to fix this?

Did you buy this computer or did you build it yourself?!?

If you bought it...take it back have them fix it.

If you built it..then go into the BIOS and beside FLOPPY DRIVE choose NONE.
Save the changes and REBOOT

i bought the parts and a good friend of mine built it but here is what i did instead of bios i went to contol panel then went to system and in one of the tabs there was something called a device manager i disabled the floppy drive from there and it seemed to have worked is that ok?

You bet it is , the DEVICE MANAGER  manages your System Hardware.
So it is a good place to look if your having hardware problems.
