I am running Windows XP-Media Center Edition version 2002 service pack 2.

I am able to right click on the desktop and use the standard refresh, arrange, properties menu, but when I try to right click on a file to view properties or use the send to menu, my computer starts working(hour-glass busy icon) and then I lose my desktop and freeze. I have left it like this for several minutes to hours with no results. I am forced to restart. I also get the same problem when I use "alt, cntrl, del". What could be wrong?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Lori
