Hi A friend is having problems with his dial up account with BT Openworld it connects but when the user name and pass word is entered it come up with invalid user name or password prompt?

He has checked with the ISP and his account is still active and he is sending CLI (caller line ID) on his telephone line.

He assures me his username and password is correct and the caps lock key is not on.

Windows 98 system.

Thanks any help appreciated

Get the ISP to ring him on his mobile while he connects as it will be the settings commands to initiate the modem handshake.
