Hi!

I have a zd8000 notebook and when I power on the machine is start. The blue lights is ok.
After the power on about 10 seconds is restart. Before the machine is restart I hear one tone and thats all...
I'm tested : RAM, Hard Drive, and the Battery. This parts are OK! NOT SOFTWARE ERROR!

I think it is a Video Card, but i don't know where i find the problem.

Thanks You!

The only way to get the malfunction verified and repaired, is by taking it to the original vendor or one of their service companies and have it checked thoroughly. I'm afraid that if the hardware has broken down in a laptop, there isn't much you can do except asking for their assistance.

If the laptop is under warranty, then you shouldn't have any problem. On the other hand if your warranty has expired, then I don't really know what you can do, except hoping that they won't charge you an arm and a leg for their services.

My ibook was dead about 3 month ago. The service said "the motherboard is dead, a new motherboard is 100000HUF (568,70 dollar)". I solder the motherboard. The ibook thence good working.

I think this is a contact problem, but i dont know where can search on the logic board?
I called the HP Hungary service. They said "the logic board is dead, and the change is 150000HUF (853.05 dollar)"
This is very expensive for me. I think this problem is a  "type-problem".

Sorry my english...
