I am using Windows ME, much to my disappointment!  PC Smash    Recently when I view differents sites such as Internet Explorer, My Tech, etc., all the icons and displays are not clear.  They appear as "grainy" and the colour is off.  Even the icons aren't right, such as the one that shows the two little tv symbols for High Speed connection at the bottom of my screen.  They are black instead of yellow.  I did go to my settings and tried various colour changes such as True Colour, 256, etc., but nothing corrected the problem.  I wonder if I should try something else?   Cry

Also, I notice at the top of the page on My Tech site, there is an option to download something to fix all Window problems.  It is called PCPerformancetools.com.  I was reading about it and it does sound great, but wanted to get your opinion first, before attempting to download.  Huh?

Thanks.

Sounds like your display is not set properly. It actually, depending on your video, should be using 32bit true color. Do you have this option?
Anything in the Device Manager marked yellow?

Dear Geekgirl:

As always, you have helped me again.  I changed my colour to 32 bit and everything looks great.

Thanks!   Grin

And since the problem is happily solved, I'll lock this topic unless Gere wants it reopened at a later date.
