my internet just cuts out when i load a page that has a lot of images. i'm not sure if its a virus/spyware, my router, or my internet itself. i'm using firefox and a hawking wireless router (but i connect my computer to it with a cable). i haven't tried connecting my computer straight to the modem yet (other people using it right now) but i'll update on that when i have the chance to. any idea what it the problem could be?

My suspicion is that this is a bandwidth problem. But I'd need to know more about your setup to be able to shoot at any particulars.

Before you do anything drastic though, I recommend having a spyware sweep in our Security and Viruses section, just to rule out any problems on that front. Who knows, our two top notch members there, Pancake and Geekgirl will no doubt be able to spot any irregularities there.

When that's finished, come back here with a report

Good luck

Does it happen every time, or just after you've been surfing for a while? As far as bandwidth goes, can you do things like watch video or listen to music? If it's just an issue with bandwidth, I would think that you shouldn't be able to do any of those things.
