My new computer has been supplied with Vista installed. I would like to add windows XP pro and run two OS independently. Can this be done? How?

It's possible, not a big problem. But, and I emphasize the BUT, make sure you have a second hard drive you install XP on, to avoid any problems with the OS's clashing.
