Operating System Version:
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:


windows xp pro fp1
athlon thunderbird 14
512 ddr
60 gig hd

problem swich on computer blank screen some disk activity
press reset button
trys to load windows
sometimes locks up mid way ie load bar only gets half way.
some times after reset button pressed loads windows gets to login screen then reboots?

unable to get into windows at all?

Hi,

No, I think you need to verify that the CPU is kept cool.

Make sure the CPU fan is well seated and spinning.

Hi Yes the CPU fan is working

However things have got worse when I switch on now there is no display at all?
The monitor is ok tried on other pc.
HD light on for a short time.
All fans are working
Checked all cable connections and slots all ok.
No beeps at all on start up.

Any help welcome not sure what to change
Video card AGP?power supply? motherboard?ram?orHD?

Have you tried boot'in from the XP CD?

Have you pulled out and then re-plugged in all your cards?

Have you checked that all the plugs (all of them) are plugged in properly?
