I am looking for a recommendation for a shareware/freeware utility program that deletes duplicate files.

Ideally, I'd like to search by file type, and have tried downloading some free ones. But so far I haven't been able to find one that lets me search by file type.

Thanks for any help.

I don't think any of the programs allow you that, but I could be wrong about that.

You could always do the search manually from within the built in Windows search, though it might take forever to finish. Still that's the safest option I can think about. Unfortunately I don't know any programs that do this work for free.
