How do I switch between columns on a word document, after I have created an additional column?

Thanks for the help!

Doesn't it happen automatically, once you've finished typing out what's in the first column?

Well, I tested this and it seems that's what you need to do. Word seems to treat the new column much in the same way it treats a new page.

If you want to split up a document in this way, I recommend doing it with tables, rather than creating columns. That will give you better control over what goes where.
