I HAVE WIRELESS NETWORK ON MY LAPTOP, AND WANT TO KEEP IT'S BLUE LIGHT ON, IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE SCREEN, SO THAT DOWNLOADS AND YOUTUBE KEEPS ACTIVE, I WAS WONDERING..WITHOUT HAVING TO CLICK ON WEBSITES, HOW TO KEEP THE BLUE LIGHT ALWAYS ON!???!?!?! I HAVE HAD TROUBLE FOR A WHILE, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!?!?!?

Whoa, slow down on the caps please.

If you want the downloads to keep going, then you have to set Windows Power management to allow the machine to stay active, no matter how long you stay away from the computer. You can get to it from the Control Panel. Additionally, make sure that the power settings for your wireless network card is also set to stay alive regardless of your presence.

but i have done that now yu told me to , and still downloads only from Limewire work well and streaming, YouTube still stops in places, unless it is like 3minutes long. and downloads cut out in the internet, what else could it be, coz all is up to date as well !!!!!!!!!?Huh?Huh?Huh???

That's probably something to do with the transfer rate from the site. So if you want to try streaming it, do so indirectly. Start the video and then pause it for a while, letting the download progress bar fill up, or almost fill up.

Once you've downloaded a big chunk of the video, start watching. You'll notice that you'll only have this problem once the red watch meter has caught up with the downloads meter.

thanks man, but  downloads and youtube still dont work properly, could I maybe edit the registry or something, to fix it, coz even on msn, contacts only get message if i am clicking on the web pages and  stuff ??

I believe you should head over to the Security and Viruses part of the forum and see if Pancake or Geekgirl can help you out there. If the machine is completely clean, then we can take it from there. I just want to make sure that nothing is drowning out your machine with unwanted bandwidth consumption.
