I have adsl through a company called Union. I can not send/recieve e-mail or browse web pages. i can ping my modem from my computer at work fine. I have tried unplugging the modem and plugging it back in. what else can I check for on my end ? Thanks in advance.

Start by calling your ISP and see if they can spot something out of the ordinary with your connection. If everything is fine from their end, then I recommend testing your machine for malware. To do so, head over to the Security and Viruses part of the forum and read upon the use of HijackThis, followed by posting a log in there and our resident security expert will have a look at it for you.

If nothing comes out of that, then we have to look at other avenues for solving this.
