Hi, I cannot open my control panel or printers & faxes. I am using winXP. Sometimes I get the error "explorer.exe - The instruction at 0x7e419de9 referenced memory at 0x5949d188. The memory could not be read". Thanks.

Sounds like you have a corrupt OS on your hands.

If you have the original installation CD, try doing a repair install and see if it makes any difference at all.
