I recently tried to send a Word document as an attachment to an e-mail. When I clicked on "Send as a mail attachment" under File, a screen came on my computer which said: "Operation failed." I clicked on Help for some information. According to Microsoft, what occurred was a MAPI related error. It advised me to restart the MAPI e-mail program (Outlook) or save and close the Word Document, then restart Word after restarting the MAPI e-mail application. It went on to say that Word will establish a new MAPI session, allowing the document to be sent. These procedures did not work. I am using Office 2003 Professional and Windows XP Professional. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I would also like to know how to make two Word documents attachments to the same e-mail. Can anyone help?

Hello and Welcome to MyTechSupport.ca

Try attaching via the email, not from the document itself. So create a new email, then hit the attachment icon and find the docs you want to send.
Let me know if this works
