I am going to buy a laptop , with the following configuration

FOR DELL inspiron 1525
1) intel core 2 duo 2.0
2) 2GB RAM
3) 160gb hard disk

For Acer aspire 4930
1) intel core 2 duo 2.0 with centrino technology
2) 2 gb ram
3) 160 gb hard disk

There dell is 30$ costlier than acer

If anybody have experience then please tell me which will be good in case of battery backup Dell or Acer

well all the best brand .And I think dell is easy to purchase and acer is expensive. So it's your decision what you chose But  I ask you one question about laptop secuity  .If you purchase a laptop so what are you doing for its security .Security means not a software or hardware  problems .Its about protection from damage or stolen. Gives me your feedback

Thanks

I have no idea about Acer. But I had a bad experience with Dell. One of my friends using Acer and it is working perfectly for him. So You may go for Acer rather than Dell.
