Hello,

I am having a very strange problem with internet access. Occasionally (once a week or so) I cannot browse the internet, but I can still ping google. It happens in Firefox, IE, and Chrome. It has happened on multiple routers, including plugged in to the router via ethernet. It has not happened either of the other computers on the same router. Windows(Vista SP1) still says I am connected to the network. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting, I have tried switching the wireless card on my laptop on and off, with no luck. The only way I have found so far is rebooting my laptop. Possibly of note is that when I switch off the wireless card Windows still says I am connected to the network.

I have also done a virus scan with McAfee that turned up nothing.

Also strange, and possibly related is that when I click on a link given by a google search, I sometimes get a "connection to server interrupted error" (in FF) that can only be fixed by clicking in the address bar and hitting enter. After some searching, I thought it was a problem with prefetch, but disabling prefetch didn't help. Also an intermittent problem.

This isn't really urgent, as I said, it only happens once a week or so, its just rather annoying, and I'd like to know whats wrong, so any help I can get would be great. Smiley

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I also updated my drivers. Didn't help.
