Whenever i boot up mu system i get an error message poping up on my desktop screen stating that "Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons". All Internet Explorer add-ons, such as ActiveX controls or toolbars, are turned off. It says check for latest Windows updates. But it doesn't show any latest Windows updates on my system. Can any body tell me how do i enabled Internet Explorer add-ons? Does any one have any idea how do i get rid of this problem. Any kind of information on this would be appreciated.

You may uninstall your IE and reinstall again. It is done from Add and Remove Program > Windows components.

Delete the icon you are starting IE from and create a new one.

There is no need to re-install IE.
Try deleting the ICON and let us know if it worked.

Hi everyone,

I just joined the forum. This is the 3rd thread I've read and each proposed solution I've read so far seems to be addressing an issue reported over a year ago by the user. I suppose it helps a knowledge base?

Maybe coincidence that all 3 have been old questions.
