A couple of days ago I updated my vista operating system. I have not updated this system in a while so I thought it would be a good idea. Before I updated vista, my internet speed was fairly fast. I have a cable modem and my computer is connected wirelessly. I have never had any problems watching streaming videos on youtube or opening more then one tab, but now my internet has slowed to a crawl. Just yesterday, it took roughly around 3 minutes for a page to load after I searched for an item on amazon.com. Watching any streaming video is out of the question now. I checked my sisters laptop to see if her wireless connections were affected but everything was running smoothly. She has not yet updated her vista operating system. I don't know what is going on. I ran a virus check using my anti-virus (Trend Micro), ran both ad-aware and spybot to see if it was the fault of a virus or adware, but my computer was clean.

Does anyone know if there is a vista security update that slows down your internet?

Thank you.

Okay, I managed to fix it kinda. I just uninstalled all of the updates I most recently installed. I wouldn't call this a fix but at least my internet is working normally again....
