I want to back up my entire yahoo account (all the default folders, like "DRAFT", the folders I created, and all the emails). I tried Outlook, but instead of copying the emails, it simply downloaded them from yahoo, so that they were no longer available in yahoo. I want to continue using Yahoo online, and just perform an annual backup. Does anyone know which program this can do? Or is there an option in Outlook to only copy (instead of downloading)?
Thanks.

Hi, any idea on this one? Is Mozilla Firebird any better, and does it just copy the emails when downloading it?
Thanks.

Under setting in your email account, there is an option to change the settings of your mail. In forward only mode, the mails are forwarded to Outlook. Under that hood, you can save a copy of your email on the server. This way your email account will also have a copy of your mail along with the Outlook account.

You can backup your Yahoo email account by using thunderbird. It is quite easy and simple to backup your emails through thunderbird.
