Operating System Version:XP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version:XP Pro
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:I want to format my hard drive but I have a computer that I bought the parts for and it didn't come with a boot disk. I made one, but it won't work; also I have two windows xp proffesional installed on my computer. >:(When I restart with my boot disk in, an options menu comes up and I can choose from xp pro, and xp pro.

I have no idea what to do and I really need to format!

any help is appreciated greatly8)

Boot off the WinXP cd and during setup you will have the option to delete the existing partition(s) and recreate it(them).

Please note that removing a partition will completely erase the drive, therefore make a backup of all your important files before doing this.
