Operating System Version:Win 98
Problem Application Name & Version:
Problem Hardware Make & Model:CD-ROM
Error Messages:1. Primary IDE Controller(single fifo) not present, not working properly or not all drivers installed (code 10) 2. Secondary IDE controller (same as 1) 3. PCI system management BUS no drivers installed (code 28) 4. PCI universal serial BUS (same as 3)

These errors are found in device manager. BIOS is detecting all drives but windows is not recognising the CD-ROM drive and listing the above errors.  I have just built a new system Gigabyte GA-8GE800 Motherboard and Celeron 2.0ghz processor.  the system was working fine for a week or so.  All motherboard drivers and OS programs are on CD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
