Hi

I had internet explorer 8 working on my laptop using windows 7.  It worked fine but suddenly stopeed working.  As soon as I preesed the IE icon on my desktop I got the message "Internet Explorer has stopped working - windows is searching for a solution to the problem"  A solution is never found.

I uninstalled IE8 and downloaded and installed IE9.

Exactly the same thing happens if I try to run IE9.

I have google and firefox on my laptop and they work fine, but I do prefer IE.

Any ideas?

Try using Microsoft's Tips for solving problems when Internet Explorer crashes or stops working

Thanks.

I have followed the instructions and started IE without add ons through accessories and it works fine. I guess the way to find out which one is causing the problem would be to disable all then re enable one at a time until it crashes again.  However, I cannot disable as the program crashes as soon as i open it.
