Operating System Version: Win 2000
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Pentium III machine

I was given a refurbished machine and am trying to clean install W2000. When I turn on the computer, the power light goes on, the hard drive light goes on and the CD drive runs. There is no 'beep' from the computer and sadly, nothing happens on my screen. I am trying to set the BIOS to boot from the CD, but I can't get anything to work. The monitor works swimmingly with other computers. What could be wrong?

Sounds like your refurbished system is a dud!

Make sure all cards, ribbon cables and power connectors are well seated/attached.
Make sure as well that the CPU and memory are well seated.
