For the past 3 days I have had an RPC problem that I resolved with the help of other postings on your forum. I fixed the problem today. Now when I try to open task manager, it appears for a second and disappears. The same thing happens when I try to run msconfig and regedit. My quick launch bar shows that task manager is running but when I put my mouse over it, it disappears. Please help me! I am running Windows XP. I am pretty PC literate, but get confused with complicated issues, so please explain remedy in layman terms. Any feedback will be greatly appriciated! Thanks!:o

have you tried using spybot search and destroy and adaware? those are both very good at finding spyware and spybot also detects some trojans sometimes spyware will cause problems like this

I just downloaded adaware and spybot - both have found nothing on my system. At startup My Documents window is popping up in triplicate and it's driving me insane-I want to take it off my start up, but can't get into msconfig. Soooo Agrevating!!!!! Any other suggestions?
