My brother replaced an old hard drive with a new, bigger hard drive. When trying to access the internet now the computer is asking for the type of modem etc. as a new set up. How do I go about finding the correct information?Sad

did the modem come with the pc? check the disks you have for the pc and see if there is a driver on it for the modem or take the side off the case and look at the modem and check for the name on it

Hi,

Go to the "Modem" icon in the Control Panel and do a search to find it. If not found, check "Device Manager" tab in the "System" icon in the Control Panel and look for any devices in a type named "Other Devices" or anything with a yellow dot and exclamation mark.
