PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version: Windows XP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version: Iomega Zip Drive Parallel
Problem Hardware Make & Model: Zip drive Plus
Error Messages:No Errow message but system locks up

Hi,
I have a brand new system a gateway 700 2.8mhz, 1 gig memory, 160 gig hard drive using xp pro.  I hear that xp don't like zip drives that are parallel but rather USB.  I am using the parellel type is there a way to configure it to work and be compatialbe with xp?  It will read a zip drive and when I take it out to replace it with another zip disk the system seems to lock up each time.  I really don't know why this keeps happening and it is really driving me crazy.

Is the a way to better configure the zip drive to work with my existing system?  I used the disk that came with the zip drive and it may have older drivers on it too, so that maybe an issue also.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rocky
