Hiya,

I am having problems with my printer. It's nearly a brand new printer but it either doesn't print at all or it prints some words. I have changed the cartrage and done everything that I can think of so has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Sean

Note: I will not beable to reply to anyones replies until monday.

Hi,

What is the make and model of the printer?
Is it a parallel port or USB printer?
What version of Windows are you running? (e.g. Win98, WinXP...)

If it is a parallel port printer, try a test page in DOS to verify if the problem is with Windows and/or drivers.

1. Shutdown to MS-DOS Mode
2. Type 'dir /w > lpt1' <ENTER> (no quotes)
3. Any printout?

Let me know on Monday about my questions above.....

Hiya,

Thanks for replying to my post but the problem is now solved. I had someone take a look at it and even though the problem is now fixed I still have no idea what the problem was in the first place.

Thanks
