Apologies to all if this has already been asked/answered.  Had a quick look but couldn't see anything.
Anyway, I am looking to put a additional hard drive in my pc.  I have the slots and the motherboard will support it and everything there is fine.  But I have a huge problem.Shocked
My additional drives such as the DVD drive and CDRW drive are too far away from my motherboard IDE slots for the IDE cable I have to reach.
Can anyone please help me I need a longer IDE cable.
I have the drives as close together and to the motherboard as possible but I think that case manufacturers and motherboard manufacturers want to have a wee confab about how all these things are meant to fit in and be connected.Grin
Oh and I a in the UK, not sure whether this is a US site or not.
Thanks

Hi,

Any luck finding longer IDE cables?

I think I managed to source some over the internet and I am hoping to get south to the big bad civilised areas of scotland to try there.
Was having difficulties as my 'local' pc shop is well over 100 miles away, and the local pc 'expert' said that IDE cables only came in the one standard length.
Thanks to all for the help.
