i am thinking about buying a Sapphire Radeon 9600 Atlantis 256MB DDR
graphics card which requires a 8x AGP slot an i have a Gigabyte GA-7DXR motherboard which has a 4x/2x AGP slot but does support 1.5v and 3.3v, so will the graphics card work with my motherboard

yes I have seen 8x cards run on 4x boards before with no problems at all, have u ever thought about getting a radeon 9500pro as it is a better card than the 9600pro and you would get more for your money as there around the same price, I have tested both cards on many systems and the 9500pro always came out on top and u can run them as 9700pros witch is an added bounes.
