PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:Windows XP
Problem Application Name & Version:CHI file
Problem Hardware Make & Model:
Error Messages:

I have 3 programs that I have downloaded that have a .CHI ending on them. My computer doesn't seem to know what to do with them. For instance, one is a program up update my Netscape program. Clicking on it does not run the program. Does anyone know what the CHI ending means and how to run a program that has that ending? I am not an advanced computer user and I have a relatively limited knowledge of computer language. Therefore if you can use English it would be helpful.
Thanks

Hi,

The only thing I have been able to find was http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=CHI

If you have a link to the file you downloaded, I will try to figure it out for you!

I've tried to copy and move the file but it won't move that way for some reason. After looking at the three files I have noticed that they are all  .exe files. One is "NSSetup.exe", one is "WindowsXP-KB823980-ia64-ENU.exe
The other file the company is sending me a CD-ROM to install the program.
Does this information help at all? The only one I have a link for at this time is the one that is sending me a CD-ROM.
Thanks, Lynne

Hi,

What you're saying is that your try to run "NSSetup.exe" and nothing happens?
Since this is an executable file, it should run. If it doesn't, scan your system for a virus using an up to date antivirus scanner. Here is a free online scanner, try it out! http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Hi,

Please give me the link to download the cdrom, the actually link you click that doesn't work. Find it and right click the link and select "Copy Shortcut" and then paste it into your reply.
