PLEASE SUPPLY RELEVANT INFORMATION:
Operating System Version:XP Pro
Problem Application Name & Version:Formatting HD
Problem Hardware Make & Model:Packard Bell Imedia 5070
Error Messages:



I've recently had my hard drive formatted and replaced XP home with XP Professional. An engineer done this but I forgot to ask him how he done it. Could anyone out there tell me, step by step, how I can format my hard drive and reload XP Pro for future reference. Thanks

Hi,

Boot off the WinXP cd and when selecting what drive to install WinXP, there is an option to delete the partition (which will permanently wipe that partition) and once removed, you simply recreate it and then select it as the installation location.
